| The need for suitable diets in chickens, considering the ideal protein concept associated with phytase, is important in order to improve the productivity of birds. The aim of this study was to assess the need for the correction of amino acid levels in the diets of broilers, by using different combinations of crude protein (CP) supplemented with phytase. For performance, eight days old Cobb 875 broiler chicks, with initial body weights of 155 ± 1.4g were used. | O objetivo neste trabalho foi avaliar a suplementação de 5ppm de ractopamina (RAC) na ração, associada ou não à restrição alimentar, sobre as características da carcaça de suínos em terminação e a viabilidade econômica do seu uso. | The aim of this work was to verify the effect of different levels of true digestible lysine (TDL) and crude protein (CP) on diets on the carcass composition of the swine in the nursery phase. | Este trabalho foi conduzido para avaliar o efeito de diferentes níveis de óleo de soja sobre as perdas endógenas e a digestibilidade ileal aparente e verdadeira dos aminoácidos em dietas para suínos em crescimento. | The aim of this article was to evaluate the in vivo mechanism of action through which ractopamine reduces the amount of adipose tissue in carcass of animals fed diets supplemented with this drug. The oral dose of 5 mg/kg of RAC was administered in periods of 0, 7, 14, 21, and 28 days. The elevated plus-maze test (EPMT) was used for behavioral assessment.
